It has been a few years since both Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson left the NBA. They are not officially retired; instead, they play in other leagues around the world. Both of them were also recently trying to get a spot in the BIG 3 league.
The two, however, were recently in the news after they decided to play 1-on-1 in a game for $100,000. After the upstart Unrivaled league made 1-on-1 basketball matchups interesting, it seems others are trying to jump on the bandwagon.
The Next Chapter, organizing this game, brought in Beasley and Stephenson, who are both in their mid-30s. The two battled hard, and at times it felt as if the 6′ 9″ Beasley had the advantage to defeat the 6′ 5″ Stephenson.

But the latter ensured the game was close until the final stages of the game when Michael Beasley took control of the boards and defeated the former Indiana Pacers star by a score of 31-21. After the game, Stephenson took to his Instagram page to shout out Beasley.
I love you to the moon and back… Now grab a cigarette and a towel… We made a s*x tape Kim K would envy.
Michael Beasley wrote on IG

This was Michael Beasley’s response to his opponent’s post. The former 2nd overall pick’s words suggest he loves Lance Stephenson. This response went viral as fans could not believe how they switched after the game, considering their pre-game face-off was something else.
This response was a stark contrast to Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley’s pre-game face-off
Before the matchup, The Next Chapter brought Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley to their studios and sat them down for a face-off. The two started off subtly, but quickly, it became an intense battle of words with the Miami Heat’s 2nd overall draft pick saying this to his opponent.
If you stop, I’m spinning. Imma teach you while I’m s*xing you the f**k up. This is consensual. Get bigger shirt cause’ imma be in that mfer.
Michael Beasley said to Lance Stephenson
To this, Lance Stephenson replied:
Cool, better. Get to them ni**les.
Lance Stephenson replied
It is possible that this exchange is what led Michael Beasley to write those words on his Instagram after the game. During their face-off, they used a lot of s**ual innuendos. That probably led them to take it to the next level and drag Kim Kardashian‘s name into the mix.
The strategy worked out well as the two former stars have never been this viral ever since leaving the NBA a few years ago. It should also be borne in mind that the two were teammates on the 2018-19 Los Angeles Lakers squad.
Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley were teammates alongside LeBron James
Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson had both signed to join the Los Angeles Lakers ahead of the 2018 season. The former had already played alongside LeBron James in the 2013-14 season. This was his 2nd stint with James.

Stephenson, on the other hand, was known for being one of James’ biggest instigators. Clips of him blowing air onto James’ ear during the 2014 Eastern Conference Finals are part of basketball folklore. But the Lakers star knew what his former opponent brought to the table.
That season, Stephenson’s ankle-breaking crossover further ensured he became part of basketball’s best clips. He was popular with his teammates, and they were shaken up by his audacious move. Stephenson and Beasley did not spend enough time playing with each other after the latter was traded before the deadline.
However, that little time spent with each other was enough to bring them close. That is how this 1-on-1 tournament came to fruition, and that is why they battled hard against each other, and still ensured to shout each other out after the game.
