Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev will go against each other this Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena. Pereira will defend his light heavyweight title for the fourth time, and is the fan favorite to win the bout. However, the challenger is confident about his chances to end the Brazilian’s title reign.
The fight was on the table for a long time as Ankalaev called out Pereira for months. Initially, it looked like ‘Poatan’ was ducking or the UFC was trying to save him from Ankalaev. However, now the stage is set and fans are eager to see the main event of UFC 313.
Magomed Ankalaev believes Dana White can’t save Alex Pereira anymore
Alex Pereira is undoubtedly one of the biggest superstars on the current UFC roster. He has headlined some of the biggest pay-per-view events and fans are desperate to see him in action. There are also assumptions that Pereira will probably move up and fight the likes of Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.

Given his global stardom, he can still deliver some of the biggest PPV events in the future. It’s expected that UFC and Dana White don’t want to lose their star and Ankalaev pointed it out during the press conference.
He should say thank you to Dana White for protecting him this whole time. Now it’s going to be a whole different thing.

‘Poatan’ is an elite striker with massive knockout power, but the same cannot be said about his wrestling. Magomed Ankalaev is someone with a wrestling background, and there are few reservations among fans. However, the champion doesn’t necessarily share the same feeling.
Magomed Ankalaev plans to bring an end to Alex Pereira’s title reign
After dominating and winning the UFC middleweight title, Alex Pereira moved up to the light heavyweight division. As expected, he maintained the same momentum and became the champion and has already defended the belt thrice. His skillset and temperament had made him an unstoppable force inside the octagon.

However, the challenger has plans to stop it and believes he has the tools to do so. Many experts have also talked about the threat that the Russian posses going into the fight. During the presser, Ankalaev assured the fans that after UFC 313, there will be massive changes in the 205 lbs throne.
The same people that are saying ‘Chama’ now are going to be saying ‘No Chama, it’s Ankalaev time.’

The ‘Chama’ word has become unanimous with Pereira and his dominance inside the octagon. The fighter has always shown relentlessness and the confidence to fight anybody at any time. This has made him a fan favorite as well as one of the biggest assets for UFC. However, the Russian is chasing the same status and won’t give it up easily.
Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira and the whole world
Alex Pereira fought thrice last year and knocked out all his opponents in a brutal way. On top of that, he’s very wholesome which attracts millions of fans towards him. As a result, most want him to win and are against Ankalaev.

Fans made this notion clear during the presser. For the title contender, it definitely looked like being in enemy territory. However, all that noise and cheers couldn’t affect Magomed Ankalaev, who is laser focused on his goal. He promised to give his best and get one of the biggest upsets in recent times.
Everyone is against me. Everyone is saying ‘Chama, Chama’. But guess what, Chama Time is over. After this Saturday night you will all love me.
Magomed Ankalaev continued
With Ramadan going on, many thoughts, Ankalaev will be fasting, but that isn’t the case. This makes the fight fair with no place for excuses. The Russian is smart and aware of Pereira’s power and wants to get caught in the early rounds. Nevertheless, all the questions will be answered this Saturday after the octagon is closed.
