The triceps injury that CM Punk suffered at the Royal Rumble will, unfortunately, keep him out of action for a bit longer. Regardless of his injury, the Second City Saint has played an active role in WWE over the past few months. The 45-year-old made a significant appearance at WrestleMania XL. Additionally, it seems like the Straight Edge Superstar will also be present at Backlash in France.
WWE backstage correspondent Jackie Redmond recently revealed CM Punk’s role at Backlash. She informed the WWE Universe that the former WWE Champion will be joining her on the pre-show panel for the premium live event. The duo will also be accompanied by Big E.
Although Phil Brooks is currently unable to get in the ring for himself, he has been putting his promo skills to good use. The WWE superstar was present at the commentary panel of the WrestleMania XL Press conference. Additionally, he also did commentary for Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The injury has not prevented fans from getting their dose of the Best in the World. The Voice of the Voiceless regularly appears on his assigned show, Monday Night RAW. He is currently involved in a feud against Drew McIntyre and even outsmarted the Scottish Warrior on the most recent episode of the show.
The Undertaker talks about his history with CM Punk
Several rumors on the internet claim there is heat between the Undertaker and the former AEW star. The Deadman discussed these rumors in a Q&A session on his Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway Patreon page. He brought up their WrestleMania 29 match. However, he denied that it created any heat between the two.
CM Punk thought he should be working in the main event of the show with somebody else, rather than with the Phenom. The Hall of Famer added that he wasn’t sure whether Punk thought he should be going over in their match. Regardless, he was perfect in the ring, and that is all that the Undertaker cared about.
The Demon of Death Valley added that people don’t have to like him at the end of the day. They do not have to be best friends with him. However, things got highly blown out of proportion with rumors suggesting that he hated the former AEW champion. The Undertaker simply did not give people the power of hate.
