One of the biggest WWE feuds of the year is set to culminate at the Raw premiere on Netflix in less than three weeks.

The upcoming Raw debut on Netflix has the potential to be one of the, if not the, biggest WWE TV episodes. Up until Wednesday, WWE had announced two WrestleMania-worthy matches for the show. This changed during the Netflix Kickoff show yesterday when Raw GM Adam Pearce added another match. Pearce revealed that Rhea Ripley would challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship come January 6.
On this past week’s Raw, Ripley declared that she was the #1 contender for Morgan’s title. This rivalry has gone on for too long, dating back to April when Morgan injured Ripley’s shoulder. The injury forced The Eradicator to vacate the Women’s World Title, which Morgan subsequently won in late May. After Ripley returned from injury, the former tag team partners squared off against each other at SummerSlam for the title.
During this match, The Judgment Day imploded as Dominik Mysterio betrayed his Mami, joining sides with Morgan. Fans believed that the fallout from the faction breaking up would end at Bad Blood, where the rematch took place. However, Raquel Rodriguez returned to cost Ripley the match, even botching the finishing sequence. This was when the majority of the WWE Universe believed that the rivalry had jumped the shark.

Since then, there have been several repetitive back-and-forth segments on TV. Nonetheless, this feud will eventually blow off at the Netflix premiere on January 6. The other matches confirmed so far for the show include Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat battle and CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins, which is slated to main event.
WWE Universe reacts to Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley being announced for Raw debut on Netflix
As expected, wrestling fans are glad that the rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan is coming to an end soon. At first, many were puzzled when Ripley didn’t mention when their final match would take place on this week’s Raw. However, the confirmation on the Netflix Kickoff show sent fans into a frenzy.
One fan suggested that Ripley and her Terror Twin, Damian Priest, should both win world titles. Furthermore, a few users referred to The Eradicator as “Rhea Hogan,” despite her already losing in this feud before.
Gonna be a wild one. It's getting too long of feud.

With that said, preparations have begun for the January 6 spectacle at the Inuit Dome in Los Angeles. The likes of John Cena and The Rock are reportedly expected to appear on the show. In addition to that, Triple H announced that Travis Scott would perform live on the debut episode. Needless to say, fans cannot wait to see how the transition to the streaming giant turns out.
