Manchester United conquer Paris once again
Once again Marcus Rashford helped Manchester United take 3 points from Parc des Princes. Rashford’s late strike in the 87th minute helped united secure a 2-1 victory over Paris Saint Germain in their first group stage game of the UEFA Champions League.
Paris Saint Germain headed into the clash as the clear favourites of everyone. But the two goals and several excellent saves from David De Gea proved everyone wrong. David De Gea was also awarded the man of the match
A goal from the second attempt
Abdou Diallo’s unnecessary lunge on Martial resulted in a penalty kick for Manchester United. United captain Bruno Fernandes took the kick and missed it to everyone’s shock. Fortunately for the Portuguese, PSG keeper Navas stepped out of his line which resulted in the retake of the penalty kick.
But in his second attempt, Bruno Fernandes found the net as he sent Navas in the wrong direction. Bruno Fernandes who missed two consecutive penalties made it up by converting this one.
Martial’s own goal and Rashford’s late winner
Just when things were going well for Manchester United a dangerous attack from PSG resulted in a corner. An excellent ball in by Neymar was unfortunately headed into his own net by the Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.
On the other end, Marcus Rashford had several easy opportunities to score the second goal for Manchester United. But the Englishmen failed to convert any of those. But in the 87th minute, an excellent pass from Pogba helped Rashford fire a shot which went in off the bottom of the post and the red devils secured a well-deserved victory.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was named the Man of the Match for his phenomenal performance with the gloves. De Gea who was criticzed by many for his sloppy performances off late hast proved his critics wrong by showing that he has still got it in him.
