Manchester United is currently 2nd in the Premier League table and are trailing Manchester City by more than 10 points. Manchester City’s winning run of games and the other teams not getting favorable results meant that City has run away with the title again. As a result teams will have to find solutions to their failings in order to catch up with Manchester City and Manchester United is right now looking for a striker.

To put it simply, the game plan to defeating Manchester United is to isolate Mason Greenwood, pressure Bruno Fernandes to make mistakes and allow Marcus Rashford to run with the ball. Rashford of late has been running with the ball like a headless chicken, to put it mildly. The Manchester Derby this week could potentially expose Manchester United for all their mistakes. To compound their miseries, striker Anthony Martial has not been good this season at all.

Manchester United have started to look at strikers and have named Erling Haaland as their primary target for the summer. Erling Haaland is currently a Borussia Dortmund striker and has a release clause of €75 million which activates in the summer of 2022. Manchester United have also targeted Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane for a move in the summer.
