Roman Reigns was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2007 when he was just 22 years old. Despite this, he did not give up on his dreams and became a professional wrestler. The 39-year-old has built his legacy while battling the disease and being on medications throughout. This has garnered him a lot of praise from fans and wrestlers alike, most recently from Mark Henry and The Undertaker.
Speaking on the Six Feet Under with Mark Callaway podcast, the two Hall of Famers talked about Reigns’ incredible resilience. Mark Henry had heard that there were days when he didn’t even feel like getting out of bed, let alone working out. However, he had unbreakable discipline and kept up his incredible physique. The 53-year-old brought up how good he looked during both main events of WrestleMania XL.
The World’s Strongest Man emphasized the effects Reigns had in elevating several members of the locker room during his 3+ year title reign. The Undertaker joined in and said that it was unheard of for someone to have a title reign that long in today’s day and age.
He have some days where he is so physically gone that he probably can't get out of bed. I think about that as a level of toughness and greatness.Mark Henry on Six Feet Under
Henry claimed that it was tougher to have such a title reign in the modern era. Earlier, people like Hulk Hogan held onto their title forever by just wrestling 6-8 matches while doing nothing else. However, the audience wanted completion, storytelling, and better in-ring matches now. The SmackDown superstar had matches with so many members of the locker room who all knew they were a part of something bigger than themselves.
WWE President Nick Khan claims to be really proud of Roman Reigns and the Bloodline Storyline
WWE recently held a Fanatics Fest in New York City from August 16-18 that featured many big names like Tom Brady, who recreated the Hulk Hogan entrance. The event also saw the presence of WWE President Nick Khan, who talked about the recent developments in WWE, including the Bloodline storyline.

Speaking to Full Press, Nick Khan appreciated Triple H and the WWE creative team for their work over the past few years. Furthermore, he appreciated Roman Reigns, the center of the storyline. He was really proud of how the product had come along.
Khan also paid his tribute to the Wild Samoans, Afa, and Sika Anoa’i. Unfortunately, the two Samoans passed away in the last two months. He recalled his experiences as a kid when he was taken aback after seeing them eat raw wish, letting everyone know that they meant business.
