WWE is signing talents so frequently that it’s hard to digest there used to be a time when they were few and far between. But who has joined the promotion now? It’s none other than Jacob Henry, son of WWE HOF’er Mark Henry. The 18-year-old delivered the good news at the Remix Rumble last night. Notably, his dad was also there.

Jacob said that the news would be out in a couple of days. Just then, the crowd started raining down the chants of NXT. The junior Henry then broke the shackles to confirm that he had indeed inked a deal with WWE. Before even starting, Jacob Henry has a huge chip on his shoulders. Following in his father’s footsteps is one thing; filling in those shoes is a completely different ballgame.

However, he’d want to not let the outside noise perturb his composure. Jacob idolizes The Rock and would love to pick a thing or two from The Brahma Bull. It would be interesting to see how long it takes for Mark’s kid to burst onto the scene. Apart from Jr. Henry, there are a few more names that have closed deals with WWE of late.

Speaking of someone who’s expected to debut soon, two of them, to be precise, are Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. The former was believed to have signed first, followed by Vaquer, who’s already made her WWE in-ring debut at live events. Moreover, they’ve also locked in Delta, a promising Aussie grappler. Former NJPW Openweight Champion Hikuleo is now also with the Stamford-based promotion. The question is: how and when will WWE introduce them to its audience?

Mark Henry told Vince McMahon he’d help AEW beat WWE in ratings

Even though his son is all set to begin with WWE, Mark Henry seems well off being a fan from the sidelines. He left WWE in 2021 to join All Elite Wrestling. The World’s Strongest Man worked there as a talent scout and coach for a couple of years.

This year, in May, his contract with Tony Khan‘s promotion expired, and he chose not to re-sign. In one of his recent interviews, Henry did reveal what he said to Vince McMahon when he was about to join AEW. In his last conversation with the 78-year-old, The Sexual Chocolate informed McMahon about his decision to join AEW.

Mark vowed to work for the betterment of WWE’s rival company and said he’d help them tank the ratings of WWE. Before he was left with no other option but to leave, Henry asked Vince to hire him in some capacity, but the former chairman denied, citing there wasn’t any role for him.
