Mark Sanchez arrived in Indianapolis to work with FOX Sports as part of their coverage of the Colts game against the Las Vegas Raiders. That work stop has now turned into a situation where he can be imprisoned for a while.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested the former quarterback when he was in hospital getting attended to after being stabbed a few times.
Later it was revealed that the 38-year-old was facing potential charges after a 69-year-old truck driver was left heavily bruised and battered. Now, he is facing up to six years in prison.
The allegations involve a 38-year-old man becoming involved in an altercation with a 69-year-old man who sustained significant and very serious injuries.
Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said at a news conference
Sanchez is now facing a felony charge after police determined that the FOX Sports commentator lost his cool. In an effort to gain control, got into the truck and engaged in a physical altercation that left both the drive and the former QB battered.
Mears said this is a situation that didn't have to happen.

The truck driver retaliated by stabbing the former Jets QB, but initial investigations revealed it was in self-defense, after Mark Sanchez entered his truck and started the altercation, using his hands and legs to inflict damage.

This felony charge might not be the end of it as investigations are still ongoing. Indianapolis police are keeping Sanchez in custody as interrogations into the events of the day continue.
Mark Sanchez left truck driver with massive laceration
When reports of Mark Sanchez getting stabbed first came out, he received a lot of support from peers, major personalities, and even politicians. Soon, when details of the incident came to light, most of those support messages disappeared.
Sanchez allegedly approached the 69-year-old truck driver and was arguing about him parking in that spot. The driver was doing his assigned work at a hotel loading dock.
Then the argument escalated to the point where the former NFL QB allegedly climbed into the truck. Police and prosecutors claim that Sanchez tried to stop the driver from calling for help, but by then, a fight broke out.
The driver then pepper-sprayed the FOX Sports commentator after the latter allegedly shoved him for trying to reach for his phone. Then, when Sanchez went at the driver, the latter pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed in self-defense.

According to court documents, Sanchez suffered several stab wounds to his torso. The driver, ‘suffered a severe laceration to the side of his face, penetrating all the way through his left cheek.’ A photo of the alleged victim became public, clearly revealing the laceration on the left side of the face.
Mark Sanchez and FOX Sports facing lawsuit
Mark Sanchez is now facing up to six years in prison if found guilty of the felony. But his troubles will not stop with that sentence. Now, the victim and his family are gunning for more.

The truck driver who police say was attacked by Mark Sanchez has filed a lawsuit against both the former NFL quarterback and Sanchez’s current employer, Fox Corporation.
IndyStar’s Ryan Murphy revealed
The victim, identified as Perry Tole, is filing this lawsuit after he suffered, ‘severe permanent disfigurement.’ The lawsuit is also targeting FOX for negligent hiring and keeping Sanchez on the job despite his drinking habits.
FOX Sports has not commented about the situation, especially after it was learnt that it was Mark Sanchez, who was the aggressor. The next few days will possibly determine his future with the company.
