Martina Navratilova agrees with Republican nominee President Donald Trump and his Vic-President J D Vance being called convicted felon and weird cousin on social media. The tennis legend is a huge critic of the former US President and the views of the Republican party.

Ahead of US polls in November, the Democrat and Republican parties have been seeking ways to gain ground and win the Presidential election. Republican nominee, Trump is running for a second term in office having lost the position in 2020 to President Joe Biden. Biden stepped down from reelection last month endorsing his Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrat Presidential nominee.

On Tuesday (August 6), Harris picked former Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate. On the other hand, Trump picked his JD Vance as his running mate last month, as he seeks to win the ticket to the White House. However, the pairing has received backlash from a social media user referring to them as convicted felon and weird cousin.

Martina Navratilova has continued to attack the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for allowing Algeria’s boxer Imane Khelif to compete in women’s boxing at the Paris Olympics. The Algerian participation has been called into question since the revelation of a failed eligibility gender test, which she partook at the World Boxing Championship last year.

The IOC has defended Khelif’s participation, revealing that as long as the athlete carries a female passport she can compete in women’s sport. But, Navratilova has constantly been on the stance that Khelif is a ‘man’.
