Martina Navratilova doesn’t shy away from expressing her displeasure over anything that supports former US President Donald Trump. On X, where she expresses her opinions on various topics, particularly politics and participation of trans athletes in women’s sports, she argued with an X user over a video of US President Joe Biden. 

The video of Biden from the G7 (Group of Seven) Summit in Italy has gone viral. As other world leaders were looking at a parachute display, the 81-year-old, who has invited criticism on several occasions due to his old age, could be seen ‘wandering off’ and giving a thumbs up to a worker packing his bag. An X user wrote how Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had to “guide” Biden to see the proceedings in front of him.

The viral clip sparked debates with many arguing that Biden is ‘too tired’ to run for US president again. Navratilova, however, pointed out that Biden might have been just looking at another parachutist.

Martina Navratilova wrote on X 

Navratilova, who is a Democrat supporter, opined that on social media, a viral clip could imply so many different things and at the same time, the 67-year-old criticized the Trump supporters for ignoring his ‘strange speeches’. 

Exactly- I might have done the same thing. He wasn’t going in the wrong direction. It’s unreal how they make something out of literally nothing yet excuse trumps gibberish.

In another clip from the G7 summit, Biden was awkwardly saluting Meloni when she welcomed him. As soon as the clip went viral, social media users started mocking him, with some claiming Biden did not know where he was. 

Martina Navratilova thanked Joe Biden 

Last month, journalist John Harwood shared a post on X about how the US economy has performed well since Joe Biden became the president. Reacting to the same, Martina Navratilova simply wrote: “Thanks Joe!“

As per reports, Navratilova has donated over $25,000 to Democratic campaigns. However, she also criticized the Democrats when the  Department of Education announced changes to Title IX, which prohibits s*x-based discrimination. 

Navratilova retired from tennis in 2006 with 18 Grand Slam singles titles, 31 doubles, and 10 mixed doubles titles. She has won 167 titles in her career, the most in the Open Era on the WTA Tour.
