Martina Navratilova recently took to social media to slam popular American news outlet USA Today. The tennis icon is of the opinion that a media outlet should not remain neutral when it comes to political views.
Navratilova doesn’t shy away from voicing her opinions about topics that she deems important. On X, where she is very active, Navratilova regularly condemns Donald Trump and the Republicans and has backed the Democrats and Kamala Harris.
She did not hide from her followers that she was rooting for Harris in the presidential elections. But when Navratilova came across a tweet from The Daily Beast, it prompted a harsh reaction from her. She called the news outlets ‘cowards’ for showing neutrality.
The Daily Beast, in that social media post, had stated that USA Today joined The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times in not endorsing a presidential candidate.

Bunch of very rich wimps and cowards, hedging their bets while pretending to be neutral or slightly for Harris https://t.co/jQhXBXrxGr

Navratilova is not the only person to censure these outlets as their decision of not to take either side led to staff resignations. Many readers also canceled their subscriptions. The USA Today, however, did not take a neutral stance during the previous presidential election as they endorsed Joe Biden.
Martina Navratilova calls Donald Trump a sick man
A clip of Donald Trump’s interview during his appearance in an episode of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous in 1994 resurfaced on the internet. Trump was with his ex-wife Marla Maples and the former was asked to describe his then one-year-old daughter Tiffany.
Trump joked that though Tiffany had inherited a lot of her mother’s features, time would tell whether she also got Maples’ brea*ts’.
This gave another chance to Martina Navratilova to loathe Trump. The 68-year-old has often called Trump a ‘psychopath’ and this time, called him a ‘sick’ man.
