American tennis legend Martina Navratilova could not contain her excitement and happiness after former American President Donald Trump was convicted in the Hush Money trial following a verdict from a 12-member jury. She celebrated the news of Trump being pronounced guilty by sharing multiple posts on social media. Navratilova also said goodbye to the Republican leader in one of her posts.

Notably, Trump was pronounced guilty on all 34 felony counts by the 12-member jury with a unanimous verdict on Thursday. Although the former president called it a rigged trial, his sentencing has been set for 11 July. This decision has affected the Republican’s chances of overturning the Joe Biden government in the upcoming presidential elections.

Trump has been pronounced guilty of paying a hefty sum to a porn star for her silence ahead of the 2016 elections, which the Republican party had won. The former American president has been convicted of falsifying documents to cover up the payment. After months of investigation, the 12-member jury announced its verdict on Thursday and it was a moment of happiness for Navratilova.

The former American tennis ace who does not hide her strong emotions against Trump celebrated the verdict. She shared a couple of posts on X to express her feelings.

She also pointed to the fact that none of the 12 jury members thought that the Republican leader was innocent. Navratilova also hailed the justice system in place. 

Imagine just how guilty you have to be to be unanimously found guilty by 12 people on all counts despite the fact that you are a former president!!! Really proud of our justice system for a change. Well done!
