Martina Navratilova has now slammed a word while taking a dig at those who created it. ‘Transblind’ was the word and Navratilova on her X account shared a post that described the word, and implied that she couldn’t understand why the trans community would use such a word.

Transblind is used to describe those who identify themselves as a transperson as well as blind. The post that Navratilova reposted stated that the transblind could be those people as well who are not actually blind person but may identify as blind.

Transblind is a transabled identity where someone desires to physically lose sight from an eye or from both eyes or to a physical non-blind individual who internally feel/identify as blind without necessarily desiring to become physically blind.

Martina Navratilova shared

‘Transbled’ represents those individuals who are physically healthy but want to be disabled. The person would want to go blind, deaf, amputee, etc. Navratilova doesn’t think there’s a need for such a thing.

Ok then. And the flags keep multiplying…

Martina Navratilova explains why children shouldn’t go to gender-center care

Junior US Senator Ed Markey recently reposted an article published by The Intercept. The report stated that the National Defense Authorization Act would ban gender-affirming care for children of service members. This has angered some members of the Democratic Party and Markey, a Democrat vowed never to stop fighting for the trans community.

But Martina Navratilova while criticizing Markey only, took aim at those who advocate for children going to gender-affirming care. The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion pointed out that children are children and can not make major decisions about their lives at such an age.

Children are not trans. They have no idea who they are. We don’t let them drink alcohol till they are :21 but think they can make a decision about taking life-altering drugs at 10 or 12???

In her comment section, many argued that children sometimes do know about their gender, while others asked if she had science to back up her claims. Navratilova is always surrounded by controversy because of her views on transgender. She has often spoken up against why trans athletes shouldn’t be allowed to participate in women’s sports.
