According to We Love Tennis, the 18-time women’s singles Grand Slam winner was interviewed by the WTA website, where she added to the plaudits given to Swiatek.

She looks like Chris Evert. Her lift drives you crazy, and I think she moves as well as anyone. She masters this to perfection, the sliding, the movement and the recovery. She wears you out from the baseline, playing aggressively. She has consistency and big wins, and that's why she's stayed number 1 for so long. Paris is the ideal place for his game.
Martina Navratilova said in an interview to the WTA website

The 22-year-old has won four Grand Slam titles so far in her career, including three at Roland Garros. Considering her form in recent weeks, she is the favorite to make it four in the French capital. If she does, she will become the first WTA player since Justine Henin to win three consecutive French Open titles.

Is Iga Swiatek the most dangerous player going into Roland Garros?

After her dominant win at the Italian Open, the big question going into Roland Garros is: Can anyone stop Iga Swiatek?

The World No.1 has had a prolific start to 2024. Despite a shocking setback in the third round of the Australian Open against Linda Nosková, Swiatek has bounced back in style. She has won three of the five Masters 1000 titles so far this year, including the last two on clay in Madrid and Rome.

The Polish star has become only the third WTA player, after Dinara Safina and Serena Williams, to win back-to-back Masters 1000 titles in the Spanish and Italian capitals. Moreover, she is the only player, male or female, to hold four tournament wins this year, eclipsing Jannik Sinner from the ATP.

If we consider potential players who could stop her, Aryna Sabalenka is the first to come to mind. However, let’s face it: If you ask World No. 2, she will dread facing Swiatek again, given their recent encounters. Swiatek narrowly defeated Sabalenka in a final-set tiebreak in the Madrid final and then demonstrated her dominance in the Rome final.

The Australian Open champion did jest about her tough luck in the Rome final during the post-match ceremony. Nonetheless, she would need to be earnest and fully focused if they meet again in Paris.
