Tennis legend Martina Navratilova took a dig at the former US President Donald Trump for urging Christians to vote for him. Former World No.1 has been a strong critic of the Republican nominee.
In recent weeks, the political climate in the US have grown intense since Trump’s failed assassination attempt. The 78-year-old was shot by a lone gunman with the bullet missing his head but grazing the side of his ear during his rally in Pennsylvania. He was rushed away from the scene by security officers and was treated by doctors.
On Sunday, President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from his second term bid, while endorsing his Vice-president Kamala Harris. The action has since seen the Democratic party gain some advantage in polls and Harris getting several huge endorsement from big party members. With growing advantage against Trump, he was seen rallying Christian voters yesterday in Florida.
An X (formerly known as Twitter) user posted a video of Trump speaking at an event telling Christians to vote for him because he is also one of them. Martina Navratilova reacted to the post revealing that the former President was inspiring Theocracy.

Navratilova has long been critic of Donald Trump and his behavior. She was especially vocal in her disapproval of the 78-year-old’s actions during his term as the President.

Martina Navratilova had earlier lashed out at Donald Trump for not visiting victim’s family
Recently, Martina Navratilova lashed out at Donald Trump for not visiting the family of one of the spectators who was killed during his Pennsylvania rally. The former President was a target of a failed assassination by a lone gunman. However, while the bullet passed the 78-year-old’s ear it ended up killing one spectator, who was later identified as firefighter Corey Comperatore.
Trump’s alleged ‘no effort’ to reach out to the victims family was viewed as Psychopathic by the former World No.1.

Trump is bidding for a second term as the President of the United States of America having served one term and lost his election in 2020.
