Klay Thompson has been writing his own story off the court, even though the NBA offseason has been filled with a lot of buzz about unexpected trades and top veterans switching teams. Not long ago, Thompson stunned the NBA fan base when he made his relationship with rapper Megan Thee Stallion public via an Instagram post.

Now, since making their relationship public, the two have been spotted together several times as they enjoy their vacation together. Stallion also took the opportunity to speak with the Page Six reporters at the event. She opened up about her relationship with the NBA star and had nothing but praise for her new boyfriend.

The new pair looked cozy as they went out hand in hand on the carpet. They started dating rumors earlier this month when Stallion discreetly included Thompson in the background of one of her attractive social media photos. As they posed for some snaps in front of the step-and-repeat, they both hugged one another and grinned broadly.

Their bond and admiration for each other was on full display on the red carpet as Thompson also gave his girlfriend a kiss before allowing her to pose for a few solo pictures in front of the media. Megan wore a black form-fitting halter gown with a sparkling jeweled belt to the black-tie event. She put her hair up in a sleek bun. Thompson, on the other hand, backed his lady in a dashing black tuxedo.

While on the floor with the Mavs last season, Kyrie Irving had an ACL injury. Because of this, they desperately needed to sign a starter before the 2025–2026 NBA season began. With the addition of free agent D’Angelo Russell, as Irving heals from an ACL injury, it’s safe to say they have identified their starting point guard.

And none other than his former teammate, Klay Thompson, is eager to play alongside Russell at the Mavs in the upcoming season. So much so that the two players were also spotted training together ahead of their training camp. Russell only played with the Dubs for half a season with the Golden State Warriors, where the two last played together.

With Anthony Davis, Cooper Flagg, PJ Washington, and Thompson surrounding him, Russell will have plenty of options in the offense. He ought to be able to maximize everyone’s potential, including Flagg, who wants to hit the ground running with his upcoming NBA debut.
