In Short
  • Micah Parsons ranked third in QB pressures since 2019 with 315, despite being drafted in 2021.
  • Packers GM Brian Gutekunst expressed no regrets about trading for Parsons, even after his ACL injury.
  • Parsons received a signed jersey from Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell during a recent NBA game.

Micah Parsons reacted to a statistic displayed on SportsCenter, showcasing the three players with the most quarterback pressures since 2019. Parsons ranked third with 315 QB pressures.

Two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett placed second with 331 QB pressures. The Raiders All Pro edge rusher, Maxx Crosby, took the top spot with 360 QB pressures.

Parsons noticed the graphic and left information that almost everyone overlooked. “I didn’t get drafted until 2021,” Parsons wrote.

The graphic specifically counted from 2019, the year when the Raiders drafted Crosby. At that time, Garrett had already been in the league for two years, while Parsons was not drafted by the Cowboys until 2021.

Parsons played four seasons in Dallas and racked up 256 combined tackles, 52.5 sacks, and 4 fumble recoveries in 63 games. In the summer of 2025, the Cowboys traded Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round draft picks. The 26-year-old made 14 starts during his debut year in Green Bay and racked up 41 combined tackles, 12.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and 2 forced fumbles.

In the Packers’ week 15 loss to the Broncos, Parsons tore his ACL and was placed on the IR. After undergoing reconstruction surgery, he still managed to zip around in a wheelchair at the Pro Bowl games during Super Bowl week in San Francisco.

Parsons’ injury left a big hole in the base of the Packers’ defense. The Packers entered the playoffs without Parsons and stumbled at the first hurdle, losing to their bitter rivals, the Chicago Bears, in the wild-card round. The Bears won 31-27 after quarterback Caleb Williams threw a garbage-time touchdown pass to wide receiver DJ Moore.

At the NFL Combine, reporters asked Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst if he regretted trading for Parsons.

During a lengthy session Tuesday at the NFL combine with writers who cover the Packers, Gutekunst said he is ‘absolutely’ glad he made the trade. During separate sessions with Wisconsin television stations and then later at the podium in the media center, Gutekunst said he had ‘no regrets’ and ‘none’ about the move.

Rob Demovsky of ESPN wrote

Crosby, in the meantime, experienced heartbreak after his trade to the Ravens collapsed. In early March, the Ravens agreed to spend a couple of first-round draft picks on the Raiders in exchange for Crosby. However, following a physical, the Ravens decided to back out of the agreement.

According to league sources, the Ravens were not comfortable with the long-term viability of the 28-year-old edge rusher. Right after the deal fell apart, the Ravens signed DE Trey Hendrickson. Later, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta revealed that he was the most disappointed out of anyone and had plans to pair Crosby with Hendrickson.

Micah Parsons received a special gift

Parsons’ rehab appears to be going smoothly. Recently, he attended an NBA game at the American Airlines Center in Dallas as the Mavericks welcomed the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell spotted Parsons sitting courtside. The Cavaliers’ official X account posted a snapshot of the encounter.

Mitchell gifted Parsons a signed Cavaliers jersey as a souvenir. Parsons shared the moment with the caption “My brother.”

Mitchell scored 24 points against the Mavericks. The Cavaliers came away with a 138-105 victory.
