Justin Gaethje was not happy with Michael Bisping‘s recent statement on social media. Bisping had stated that Dustin Poirier should fight Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title while Gaethje should fight the winner of Charles Oliveria and Arman Tsarukyan next. Gaethje retaliated on X and this caught the attention of ‘The Count’ who responded to it on his YouTube channel.

Michael Bisping is on board with Justin Gaethje and believes he deserves a shot at the UFC lightweight title. However, he put forward his reasons for why he made his previous statement.

YouTube video
Justin, f****** relax, I’m a fan of your work. I didn’t mean any disrespect and I wish him all the best and he deserves a f****** title fight. But right now you’re booked against Max Holloway. And until that business is done and until you know that you’re healthy, you’re not going to get booked in another fight.
Michael Bisping said

Bisping agrees that Justin Gaethje should be the next candidate for the title shot. However, although likely it is not guaranteed that Gaethje will beat Max Holloway. Bisping said the former featherweight champion should not be underestimated. Secondly, he pointed out that Gaethje may come out of the fight injured and might need time to recover.

Meanwhile, Islam Makhachev wants to stay busy so the Dustin Poirier matchup fits perfectly in this scenario. Bisping said he does not have all the answers, neither does he know all the inside information. He said his statements are only opinions and they do not necessarily have to be true.

Michael Bisping recently picked Georges St Pierre as his GOAT

The argument for the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) in MMA is long and never-ending. It depends on person to person and how the individual ranks his/her preferences when it comes to style, personality, record, and so on.

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping has made his pick and it is none other than Georges St Pierre. One of the most renowned and well-respected athletes of the sport, St-Pierre has 26 professional wins and only lost twice in his entire UFC career. He is a former two-division UFC champion having held titles in both the welterweight and middleweight divisions.

The only fighters to have ever defeated Georges St-Pierre were Matt Hughes and Matt Serra, both legends of the sport. Bisping had his own encounter with St-Pierre when he returned in 2017 and they headlined the main event at UFC 217. St-Pierre submitted Bisping with a rear-naked choke and ended the fight in the third round.
