Michael Porter Jr. is embracing his increased role in this years playoffs.
Denver Nuggets superstar Michael Porter Jr. is going viral for his take on the legend of the furries subculture
For Denver Nuggets superstar Michael Porter Jr. growing up in was one of the best times of his life. A situation where he learned a lot about life and its various differences and cultures. One such aspect he remembered was the concept of ‘furries’.
He revealed what it was like on the Full Send Podcast. While talking to the Nelk Boys, the former 1st round pick had a few words to say about the furries.
I went to Seattle my senior high school. I learned about furries. Furries are basically these kids that go to school, but they think they are like an animal, like they think they are a racoon or a cat. The schools will provide them with litter boxes and things like that. I guess its respectful to address them the way they wanna be addressed. Look into furries bro, it's a real thing.Michael Porter Jr. said
The Nelk Boys asked him if he was lying, but he said that it was true. Michael Porter Jr. said that they are a real thing, and it was evident in those days.
This discussion about furries has ensured that the video goes viral. After all, the use of litter boxes was a myth that was debunked by news outlets and the schools themselves. Even though furries is a subculture that exists to this day, the case of the litter boxes was classified as a false hoax.
The Denver Nuggets star suggested that furries did bring about change in the LGBTQIA+ community and how schools would accept and make changes to their facilities to accommodate them. The NBA Champion sure has a lot of heart talking about a subject in the midst of the playoffs.
Michael Porter Jr. switching between podcasts and playoffs
The former Missouri standout has taken on a bigger role in the playoffs this season. With the Denver Nuggets not having the bench strength of last year, Michael Porter Jr. has almost become their 3rd superstar. At least that is what the numbers suggest from the 1st round.
But weirdly, the superstar has engaged in creating and being a guest on podcasts even during such a competitive environment. Where most players would shut themselves off and focus on the game, Porter Jr. seems to have embraced it. Once thought of as the next big young player, it seems performing at the highest level comes naturally for him.
However, with the 2nd round coming up, Michael Porter Jr. will have to contribute again. The Minnesota Timberwolves is a tough team to beat. This is why, the Denver Nuggets will need him to be at his best.
