The annual Royal Rumble matches are a golden ticket to WrestleMania for the WWE Superstars. They vie it out in an overcrowded setting, trying to toss the bodies over the top rope. But the intrigue of this decades-old tradition doesn’t end there. In fact, the most exciting part of it is the surprise returns.

One just never knows who’s going to show up at the Rumble. Leveraging that mystique, WWE Hall of Famer Michelle McCool has teased making the move. On X, she reacted to a fan-made poster, envisioning this year’s 30-woman Royal Rumble match participants. And McCool was right there at #10.

The Undertaker‘s wife claimed that she’s never seriously considered having another run inside the squared circle. Michelle said that would be cool, and she’s confident about her physical well-being to pull it off. The All-American Diva joked about how everyone these days just randomly declares themselves for the Rumble.

She even dropped some hilarious hashtags wondering if it really is that straightforward and whom she needs to call to make it happen. McCool, who was inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2013, is a former 4-time Women’s Champion. Her initial retirement from the company came in 2011. It stemmed from injuries, including an MCL tear, and her transition into motherhood.

However, she knows a thing or two about competing in the Royal Rumble. She has done it on consecutive occasions in 2022 and 2023. While the former outing lasted about 20 minutes, the latter saw her make the final 10. For the time she was there, the veteran showed that she can still hang in. The odds of her showing up next weekend in Indianapolis are certainly high.

How does the Royal Rumble matches look like in 2025?

The anticipation is palpable regarding this year’s respective Royal Rumble matches. First off, on the women’s side, 6 names have been confirmed to compete. Those include a returning Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, Naomi, and Bianca Belair.

A moment that could be the major shock value of this match is the rumored comeback of Becky Lynch. She’s been away from WWE since late May. Shifting gears, it’s time for the men. As has been stressed already, the field is absolutely stacked.

John Cena, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, and Shinsuke Nakamura are officially set. It’s hard to pick a winner considering the margins will be thin. However, Cena is the odds-on favorite to win, closely followed by Punk, Reigns and others.
