Mike “The Platinum” Perry has been having a decent run as an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight fighter. The American MMA fighter last fought in the November of 2020. Mike has an average record of 14-7-0 in the promotion since his debut in 2016.

Over the last 9 fights, Perry has managed to have a record of 3-6. Though the fighter has a bad record, UFC President, Dana White wishes to keep him in the promotion for his antics and hype. Mike Perry is known to come into the octagon with a bang and sell tickets. The fighter has had troubles outside the Octagon and is prone to failing the scale during weigh-ins.

Mike Perry’s last bout was against Tim Means at the UFC 255 in which he lost by a decision in the third round. “The Platinum” after his loss to Means is returning to fight on April 10. Mike Perry is scheduled to fight Daniel Rodriguez but the promotion is yet to make it official.

Daniel Rodriguez is coming off his second loss in the promotion. The fighter faced defeat against Nicolas Dalby at the UFC 255. Fans await the confirmation of this fight since Perry hinted at a move to Middleweight on Twitter. “I would like to fight at middleweight 185 lbs. There are three competitors that come to mind. Joaquin Buckley, Kevin Holland, and Darren Till,”.

“They’re not giving me a fight at 170 and not offering me anything at 185.”, Mike Perry on Twitter talking about the UFC

Perry has already hinted that he wants to fight Joaquin Buckley, Kevin Holland, and Darren Till. Though that is unlikely to happen, Perry and Till have had an on/off feud outside the octagon. There have been several instances where both the stars have hurled insults at each other.

Kevin Holland on the other hand has had an amazing win fighting at a different level right now. The fighter has 5 straight wins inside the Octagon. Perry had also called out Diaz branding him as a “Clout-chaser”

With all the uncertainty regarding his fight, Perry took to Twitter to address this, “I wasn’t taking back my call-outs. I like those fights and I don’t like cutting weight but they’re giving me a fight at 170lb and not offering me anything at 185.”
