“Platinum” Mike Perry has had a career renaissance since he left the UFC for BKFC. At the bare-knuckle boxing promotion, Perry is the biggest superstar. The bare-knuckle boxer in Perry has defeated everyone who stood opposite him, mostly in a brutal fashion. After his recent victory at BKFC, Perry has set his sights on the upcoming Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul matchup.

In the main event of BKFC: Knucklemania IV, Mike Perry knocked out Thiago Alves in the first round, earning a disclosed purse of $600k. After the victory, Perry called out Darren Till and Nate Diaz, two ex-UFC title challengers. Now, Perry has a different plan for his next fight.

Jake Paul’s upcoming fight against Mike Tyson did not get a positive response from the combat sports community. Many cited Tyson’s advanced age as a factor and even trolled Paul for accepting the fight. Moreover, many even felt Tyson would not be able to perform well against the younger opponent, though Tyson has released footage of his pad sessions which received positive responses.

Perry is no stranger to stepping up on short notice as he was the backup fighter for Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis. Moreover, he once revealed that he is more interested in a fight with Jake than Logan. Nevertheless, it’s improbable Perry would step in for Tyson to fight Paul. Nonetheless, one can never say for sure, as cr*zier things have happened in combat sports.

Mike Perry makes iconic BMF callout after brutal victory

Justin Gaethje is the human highlight reel. Gaethje came into the UFC with a 17-0 professional MMA record, 15 via finish. In his first fight in the UFC, Gaethje knocked out Michael Johnson in a matchup in which he won two bonuses, Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night.

Interestingly, after he defeated Johnson, he made one of the most BMF-esque callouts ever. Gaethje called for a matchup against his ‘equal,’ as in violence. Mike Perry has done the same in the post-fight press conference of BKFC: Knucklemania IV.

Who's a big star that's got the hands and can take it like me? There's not one. 'Platinum' is one of a kind.

Unfortunately for Gaethje, he met his equal in his next fight: Eddie Alvarez. Gaethje lost the fight to Alvarez via TKO, though he won his consecutive Fight of the Night bonus. With Perry’s recent callout, it remains to be seen what will happen to him in his next fight.
