The Milwaukee Bucks and their star man Giannis Antetokounmpo won the NBA title back in 2021 after defeating the Phoenix Suns in game 6. Antetokounmpo was at the forefront of literally everything that was related to the Bucks and their NBA championship in 2021. Interestingly, his teammate, Jeff Teague opened up on a story regarding Antetokounmpo and the Bucks’ championship win celebration party.

Jeff Teague claimed on the Club 520 podcast that the Bucks players refused to party once Giannis Antetokounmpo refused to attend the post-championship party. Antetokounmpo chose to spend his time with his family instead, according to Teague. Also, Teague further claimed that he played NBA 2k and sat at home after winning the championship.

Our after-party was trash bro, Look I had better times in Lou-Will-Ville bro. We asked Giannis, you wanna go to Vegas..he said 'nah I'm going to celebrate with my family.' Once Giannis says it's over.. it's over. Like I got in my truck and drove back home.

The seasoned point guard joined the Boston Celtics for the 2020–21 season before being traded to the Orlando Magic on March 25, 2021. It was the day of the NBA trade deadline, which resulted in the arrival of Evan Fournier for Boston. Two days later, Teague was dismissed by the Magic, and he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. They went on to capture their second NBA championship in team history.

Jeff Teague’s hilarious line after winning the NBA championship in 2021

The 2021 NBA season was a bit of a rollercoaster for Jeff Teague which ended on a good note for him. He was initially traded to the Orlando Magic on the trade deadline day but was waived off. He then signed with the Milwaukee Bucks after two days. Notably, Teague went on to win the NBA championship with the Bucks in 2021 and was also an important member of the roster.

Teague was spotted ecstatically celebrating the Milwaukee Bucks’ NBA victory. Additionally, Teague was spotted strolling the arena’s hallways following the festivities on the floor. The Bucks’ social media team’s cameraman caught him saying, “I got an A on the group project.” The hilarious line by Teague quickly went viral on various social media apps.

As far as performances are concerned, Teague had an average NBA season overall. Despite playing a total of 119 minutes during Milwaukee’s playoff run and only scoring 6.6 points per game in 21 regular-season games for the Bucks, he got himself a ring.
