Minecraft has a ton of items that the players can make or find in the wide sand-box world of the game. Here is one uncraftable Minecraft item, the Minecraft Bell and we take a look at all its features and uses.

The items in Minecraft all serve a purpose in the game be it small or big. The bell is a un-craftable item that may seem to be useless at first glance, but can prove to be extremely handy if used in the proper scenarioes.

The Bell is a transparent block that can be used by the players and makes a ringing sound when used. These are one of the rare blocks/items in the game that cannot be crafted by the players using an base items.

How to get Bells in Minecraft?

Bells are only found in large villages near the centre of the Village. Additionally they spawn in all variants of villages. Players can mine the bell using a Pickaxe and it will drop to be picked up.

They also spawn in Chests of Ruined Portals but only have a 1% chance.

Bells can also be traded from a armorer villager for 36 emeralds. Weaponsmith villagers also sell them for the same price.

  • The Bell is a block that can be used by the player and makes a ringing noise and is fully animated.
  • A Bell can be placed near a bed to make it a claimed bell, which is the centre piece of a village.
  • Players can use a Minecraft Bell in a village to wake up all the sleeping villagers at night or during thunderstorms. However, if the villagers are out the Bell ringing will send them all into their houses.
  • When a Raid occurs, one villager will run and ring the Bell and all the others will run inside their houses for safety.
  • In Java Edition, if a Bell is rung during a Raid, then the Glowing Status effect will be applied to all raid mobs within 48 blocks.
  • Piglins are also attracted towards bells as they are made out of gold.
