These are exclusive to the Nether realm and generate underground or in the walls of the Nether. They are found in all biomes except the basalt delta biome. They are characterised by their small golden patches on the Nether rack block.

Players can break them using a Wooden Pickaxe or better to mine. One single Nether Gold Ore drops 2-6 gold nuggets when broken. This amount is increased by the Fortune Enchantment.

If the players break the block using a non-Silk Touch, the block will break into Gold nuggets. However, if the player has a pickaxe that has the Silk Touch Enchantment, then it drops the Nether Gold Ore block.

Players can then put this block into a Furnace or a Blast Furnace to get a Gold Ingot, instead of Gold Nuggets.
