Practically there is now real useful use for a Poisonous Potato as they carry a negative status effect. Therefore, they cannot be planted in tilled land to make a potato farm and neither can they be used in a Composter to create Compost.

Players can certainly eat a Poisonous Potato but there is a high chance of losing a ton of health from it. Upon pressing the use button, the character will eat the Poisonous potato and it will restore 2 hunger points and increase hunger saturation by 1.2. This is double the amount restored by a normal Potato in Minecraft.

However, players carry the huge risk of 6-0% chance of applying Poison II upon themselves and it will cost the players 4 health points. Therefore, there is now real reason to eat it except in dire situations.
