Minecraft has a variety of light sources and the Nether update recently changed a few of them and introduced new ones. Here is how to make a Minecraft Soul Campfire and all its features!
Light Sources in Minecraft are a great way of keeping the monsters in the game from spawning and also to illuminate structures during night. The Light sources can be normal like Torches and Lanterns, but Soul versions are a variant that was introduced in the Nether update.
Here is all you need to know about the Minecraft Soul Campfire.
Minecraft Soul Campfire
The Campfire is a open source light source and players can even cook food and use as a signal with the rising smoke.

The Minecraft Soul Campfire is a variant of the Campfire and has some additional effects other then being a light source. The Soul Campfire emits a light level of 10 which is a bit less than normal Campfires which have a light level of 15.
Players can also distinguish them by their Turquoise colored flame rather than the orange-yellow flame. They also emit blue ember particles when lit from time to time.
This has an additional effect of repelling Piglins in the nether. Players can also use it to emit a Smoke signal by using a Hay Bale on top of it.
How to make a Soul Campfire in Minecraft?
Players need to collect the following items to make a Soul Campfire:
- Sticks x3
- Soul Sand x1
- Log/Wood/Stripped Wood x3
Soul sand is the only item players may have difficulty in finding and it can be found in the Nether and in Nether Fortresses.
Combine the items in the Crafting Table to make a Soul Campfire in Minecraft.
