Minecraft has introduced a variety of blocks that the players can make or find which serve a variety of purposes. Here is a uncommon block called the Minecraft Target block and how to make it.

Blocks are the building unit of the whole world of Minecraft and the players depend on them from the start of the game. The blocks serve as building materials, structure making or even to feed animals. The Nether update introduced many blocks as well and one of the newly introduced ones, was the Traget.

The Target block was introduced in the Nether update and provides the players with the opportunity to hold arrow shooting contests and also acts as a redstone component.

The Minecraft Target block cannot be found naturally spawning in the game and must be made by the players. The block can be identified by its white body and red target marks on all the sides of the body.

How to make a Target block in Minecraft?

Players need to collect the following items to make a Minecraft Target block:

  • Redstone dust x4
  • Hay Bale x1

Redstone dust can be found by mining redstone blocks underground in the Overworld. Mining the redstone blocks using a iron pickaxe and higher gives the player redstone dust.

After obtaining both the mentioned items, players need to put them in the crafting table in the manner shown above to make a Target block in Minecraft.

The Target is a newly introduced block and therefore does not have many uses in the game as of yet. However, a few of them are:

This can literally be used in target practise for players. Earlier players used moving animals or stone buttons in order to test their aim, but now with the Target block, players can conduct competitions of shooting.

The Target block also emits a redstone signal when being hit by a projectile of any kind. This ranges from arrows to thrown potions or even mob attacks. However, the redstone signal emitted ranges from a scale of 1 to 15 depending upon the place of the impact. The centre emits the highest signal while the sides, the lowest.
