In a season where everything seems to go wrong for the New York Yankees, there could be some positive things in the future. According to several reports, star man Aaron Judge could be in line for a shock return on Friday against the Baltimore Orioles. The Yankee captain has been sidelined with a toe injury since early June.
Judge was recently spotted taking his first batting practice session since the injury. While a timeline was not set for his return, he was reported to take part in simulated games in Tampa. According to the NY Post, Judge could return this Friday avoiding any late setback. This could be a huge boost for the Yankees and their fans for this season.
The Yankees are currently in turmoil. After getting swept by the Angels, they swept the Royals themselves. However, they were crushed apart by their NY rivals, the Mets, 9-3 in the Subway series. The 27-time world series winners have since leveled the series with a 3-1 win, with Carlos Rodon registering his first victory as a Yankee pitcher.
“I’m not sure if he’s going to run through a workout or if rehab stuff’s on the table,” his manager Aaron Boone said. “When I talk to him and get with the trainers, we’ll come up with a plan,” Boone added. The manager clearly does not want to take any risk and dampen his chances.
Twitter reacts as NY Yankees prepare to get ready for Aaron Judge’s return

It was widely estimated that the NY Yankees will suffer in the absence of Aaron Judge. However, very few would have thought of this. The offense of the team has completely gone quiet. The fans were hoping someone would be able to step up in his absence. They were left disappointed when nobody came forward to take on the responsibility of Judge.
The current AL MVP showed the others why he was the deserving winner of the award. As per stats, the team is 19-23 since his injury against the Dodgers in June. Judge has single-handedly taken the role of delivering the runs. Twitter was amazed on finding out about his potential return and shared their opinions involving it.
Will Judge be really back into the action against the Orioles will be decided by the management. He had already missed a few games in April following a hip injury against the Minnesota Twins. They would probably wait for proper results before taking any steps. This still gives them hope for his quick return as MLB inches closer to its final two months of action.
