Free agent Aaron Judge has got a new New York Yankee contract in hand, but he is still intent on enjoying his free market. Judge noted that he got a good contract from the Yankees, but still wants to talk to a few more teams, before making a decision.

On Thursday, he stated that he had a great chat with Hal Steinbrenner noting, “a great sign for me in this process.” Although there are tense currents going around with his signing, the AL MVP winner is surely enjoying himself to the fullest. After photobombing fans at NYC MLB Flagship Store, he is now hosting a gala.

Along with some friends and a few stars attending the show, Judge has plenty of time to focus on his professional business. Now it’s time to focus on his All Rise Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps children and youth to become responsible citizens through engaging in activities.

Aaron Judge’s gala event was crowded by numerous familiar faces like – Yankees Giancarlo Stanton, Anthony Rizzo, DJ LeMahieu, Harrison Bader, and Michael King. From the Oakland Athletics, Tyler Wade, free agents Luke Voit and Jameson Taillon were present. The gala was held just a day after he won the AL MVP award.

This made the Yankees GM Brian Cashman reiterate the club’s desire to have him locked down with the team. After declining the previous 7-year $213.5 million offer, the team reached out to him with an updated file after going through legal procedures including his agents.

Brian stated, “We’re in real time, so we’re on the clock”. “We’re certainly not going to mess around. Of course we’ve made an offer since Spring Training. If it hasn’t been said clearly, [managing general partner] Hal Steinbrenner has had face-to-face [time] with Aaron Judge and I’ve engaged with his agents.”

“I want him to be the Yankee for the rest of his life.” “The rest is up to him and his family and where they want to go from here,” Steinbrenner said. “But, we’re going to do what we can, I can assure you.” Judge commented he’ll look into other teams, and select the best possible action, “I don’t know how fast it’s going to go or how slow it’s going to go”.

“There’s teams that we’ve talked to. For me, if we’re going to build a winning team, if I can get my [contract] stuff out of the way so they can kind of move on and add some more pieces to build teams up, I think that’s always an advantage for wherever I go.”
