“I’m not playing for a contract”: Aaron Judge talks about winning a Championship with the New York Yankees

Aaron Judge is an American professional basebal lright fielder for the New York Yankees in MLB, who was unanimously selected as the American League Rookie of the Year in 2017. Aaron Judge recently sat down for a talk with Harold, and talked about contracts and winning with the New York Yankees.
Judge first got drafted by the New York Yankees in 2013, when he was young. Talking about how he has matured, Judge said, “Not much of a difference you know. I’m still the same kid, getting my name called- and here I’m getting drafted by the Yankees. Still that same excitement and still that same passion. Man that was such a whirlwind back then.” Judge remembers getting chills when he first wore the jersey the day he got drafted. Things changed quickly for him, but it has been a fun right for him so far.
Aaron came to be known about the phrase “all rise”, which became quite the sensation especially for him after noticing it in 2017 in stadiums all over.

Aaron Judge has no place to hide, especially when he started getting recognised everywhere he went. He used to live in the middle of Times Square, and nobody had a clue about him in the beginning. “That was nice. But as the seasons went on, I can’t hide nowhere, or I can’t put on a hat in the city and just walk around. But you just learn, you adapt and you make changes,” said Judge.
Judge has also had to fight his fair share of injuries, but people say he took a gamble on himself. However, for Aaron Judge it has always been clear- he has been a part of the Yankees for over 6 years and he’s always tried to go out there and give it his all. “I’m playing for my teammates, I’m playing for my city. People wanna talk about contracts, that’s not what I’m playing for. I’m playing to bring a championship back here to New York,” said Judge confidently as he waits to get back a title for his team.
