“There are a lot of great players in this team”: Aaron Judge delivers cryptic message when asked about Yankees future

Aaron Judge

If there is one player who has changed the course of New York Yankees’ hopes for a title in 2022, it is Aaron Judge. Having endured one of the best seasons in his career, he has struck MLB best-33 home runs and a 284/.364/.618 slash line. However, in the past several weeks there have been rumors about Judge not being a Yankee anymore after the end of the current season. What’s more to add? This 30-year-old slugging outfielder gave a cryptic reply which surely gave Jacob and many other Yankees’ fans sleepless nights just before the commencement of 2022 All-Star game.

When ESPN’s Marly Rivera caught hold of Aaron Judge for a last minute on-field interview right before he has going to be a part of the action of 2022 All-Star Game in Dodgers Stadium, she enquired about a young boy, named Jacob, who asked her, “Are you telling me that Aaron Judge may not be a Yankee after this year?”

When Marly wanted a spontaneous answer from Judge at that very moment, it seems like the outfielder got way too honest. He said, “Jacob, buddy, we got a lot of great Yankees on this team, you know, there are a lot of great Yankees [that will] be here for a long time so don’t be upset.”

Moments after giving a brutally honest answer to Jacob’s enquiry, Judge hoped that the young fan might be his fan for life. Which surely indicated many that the speculations around him leaving New York could well be a reality in the coming months.

“Hopefully you’ll be a Judge fan for life.”

All eyes will not the on Aaron Judge as the second half of the 2022 season gets underway. With all teams looking to throw the kitchen sink at the top shelf, will Aaron Judge be able to inspire the New York Yankees to the ultimate silverware? Hopefully Jacob keeps an eye on that as well.
