The year 2004 saw huge buzz among the MLB especially New York Yankees fans as reports of Alex Rodriguez joining them started to emerge. A-Rod had already cemented his name as one the best by then and the prospect of him joining a top team was scary for some.

He would live up to his expectations and accomplish several feats. An AL MVP award in 2007, joining the 3,000-hit club, and becoming the 4th highest home run hitter back then, were some of the accolades he completed. He was said to be at the peak of his power in the 2009 postseason as he registered 19 hits, en route to his only World Series title.

Things would come crashing down for A-Rod in 2013 when he was found using illegal substances. He was suspended for the entire of the 2014 season for the usage of Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs), leaving a dark void in his career. He would later admit his mistake and claim that the drugs things probably cost him a Hall of Fame ring.

After his retirement from MLB, A-Rod found his interest in business. He is now one of the most successful businessmen in the USA and is the owner of the NBA side Minnesota Timberwolves. He also works as an expert on baseball, giving opinions regarding the game. It is safe to say, his love for the game of baseball has not faded away.
