In the latest interview, Alex Rodriguez discussed Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship and how it is affecting the NFL. A-Rod sitting down with NBC host Sara Gore talked about the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII game in LA. Considering how much Kelce and Swift’s relationship was bashed online, the MLB star provides an interesting uptake.

Gore asked Rodriguez if he thinks their relationship “Is a distraction or a motivating thing”. A-Rod stated, that there shouldn’t be any problem since Kelce is focusing on the game when needed. The noise has not been a distraction to him. “Kelce has done an incredible job of keeping the main thing main thing…and he’s killing it,” Rodriguez said.

Unfortunately, there’s been criticism about Kelce and Swift’s relationship. While the NFL enjoyed the positive impact of their relationship in the sport, it has also riled up some people. According to reports some even stated that the NFL set up the Chiefs’ 17-10 win over the Ravens to benefit President Joe Biden who endorsed Swift in 2020.

CBS Sports analyst JJ Watt defended the couple saying they should ‘Shake it off’ and that he doesn’t “understand why it’s caused such an uproar.” Even popular American host David Letterman said,

I don’t think in the history of show business or the history of popular culture we’ve ever witnessed anything like this…Shut up! The nonsense can’t be more nonsensical, and the ugliness…God hopes it can’t get any uglier.

While talking about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship, Alex Rodriguez stated, “For the NFL it’s been a big win to have all the Swifties around the world now join the NFL eyeballs.” He also praised Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for his contribution to the team.

Host Sara Gore asked Alex Rodriguez how the athletes can mentally and physically be ready for the Super Bowl LVIII. He said it’s going to be an interesting game, and his daughter is also excited about the start of the event.

“There’s nothing like the Super Bowl,” A-Rod commented when asked if Kelce and Swift’s relationship is leaving any negative impact on the league. But he proudly stated that Kelce has done a great job in keeping the noise in check.

It’s going to be such an interesting Super Bowl, first of all, it’s in Las Vegas…you have two iconic franchises with the Chiefs and the 49ers…the commercials are fun…the game is exciting.

A-Rod also talked about health problems and potential business moves in his personal life. Looking back on when his doctor supervised him with gum disease, the MLB star warns others to be wary of their health problems. He requests everyone to check up with a dentist to reduce such threats.

He said it was a year ago when he was diagnosed with early-stage gum disease and “it was shocking.” He also started an awareness campaign to help others detect medical issues earlier. Despite being one of the Yankee stars, his name is yet to be etched on HOF. 

Whether he gets his name on the Hall of Fame or not is still a debate. His PED use and naming his teammates who used drugs during their career have been some of the pivotal points that robbed A-Rod of his HOF name, as of now. However, it may change in the future. Nothing is set in stone as of now.
