Houston Astros in search of food at Philadelphia
Things have been tense between Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros, be it the Game 3 match or the fans. Recently the World Series intensity took it up a new level, as the Philadelphia restaurants turned down catering of the Houston Astros. Loyalty runs deep in Philadelphia, and it’s once again proven through their actions.
A famous restaurant, Angelo’s Pizzeria refused to take orders from the Houston Colt players and their staff. In a video posted on social media, the man said, “If you think I’d cook for the Astros, you’re out of your mind.” “We said no to them.”
It wasn’t only the Pizza center, but also Mike’s BBQ that turned them down. Though the ballplayers from Houston are not the ever-so-popular team, things took a sour turn before their game. Then again the Phillies tied the Game record with the Houston Colt, much to the fan base’s delight.

Philadelphia is popular for its good old hospitality and the they made Houston just tasted it. In Game 3 the Astros lost to the Phillies 7-0, uplifting the team to a 2-1 lead on Tuesday’s game after it got postponed due to rain. With this win, the Phillies are 6-0 this postseason. Bryce Harper wiped the opponent pitcher with his at-bats, starting the celebratory tune on the field.
Alec Bohm stated, “A lot of really good hitters in the lineup. “I think tonight we were locked in and collectively we got a few mistakes and we didn’t miss them. Any given night you can get those mistakes and maybe foul it off or miss it.” Houston and Philadelphia will face off again on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
