It seems that there is no stopping the Atlanta Braves this season. The 2021 World Series winners continue to amaze the audiences with their stellar performances this season. Sometimes the big players create some historic feat like Ronald Acuna Jr. and sometimes the team decides to break some records. This time, they broke their franchise record for the most home runs this season.
In the top of the sixth inning, Orlando Arcia launched a two-run home run against the Colorado Rockies. This was their 250th home run of the season, the most they have ever managed in a season. Last week the Braves created another historic feat as Marcell Ozuna became their fifth player this year to hit 25 or more home runs. They are now chasing the 2019 Minnesota Twins for the most home runs in a season and the team with the most players to have 30 or more bombs.
In the process, the Braves would go on to sweep the Rockies again this season. The 7-3 victory on Wednesday saw them script a perfect 7-0 record against the NL West franchise. They entered the game with 247 home runs and were able to hit the three required to reach the 250 mark. With more than a month of action to go, the Braves need 57 more home runs to break the record of the Twins in 2019.

There is no hiding that the Atlanta Braves have been the absolute best team this year. The NL East side has stream-rolled over everyone this season and looks threatening at every step. Recently, they became the fifth team to reach the 11,000-win mark, which signals their dominance of breaking records this season.
Their 87th win of the season turned out to be a historic one in the end for them. The side is inching closer to becoming the first team to qualify for playoffs this year. While that could be achieved in the next few days, the fans were celebrating their milestone moment on Twitter. One user would be shocked by the team’s performance and wrote “this team has broken baseball”. Here are some other reactions from the moment.
The Braves will now go up against the Los Angeles Dodgers in what should be an intriguing encounter. After a little stumble at the start, the Dodgers are once again back to their best. The four-game series between them could be a preview for another epic postseason encounter between these two giants.
