“HOT!!”: Bo Bichette blazing in flames, re-writes American League HISTORY with 6+ Hits and 3+ HR in a single day
Bo Bichette
Bo Bichette has slowly been establishing a name for himself in the Major League Baseball’s big stage, he hit three home runs and drove in five runs to propel the visiting Toronto Blue Jays to an 8-4 victory in the second game of their doubleheader sweep of the Baltimore Orioles on Monday.
Bo Bichette is now the second Toronto ballplayer to have a three-homer game this season (Vlad Guerrero Jr. also did it in April) and the first shortstop in American League with 6+ Hits and 3+ HR in a single day. He launched a three-run homer in the third inning and solo shots in both the sixth and seventh.
“We understand the magnitude of what’s going on right now,” Bo Bichette said. “I think today was probably the most competitive we’ve been all year. That’s a good thing at this time of year.”
“[We] are rolling right now, and I think [we’re] up for the excitement of this part of the year, especially against a team that we’re going head-to-head with in the Wild Card race,” interim manager John Schneider said. “So, it was an awesome day at the yard.”
