“It’s so laughable”: Brandon Crawford’s wife issues blunt response to shortstop’s ejection

Many all around the world were baffled by Brandon Crawford’s ejection, but someone whose reaction stood out the most was his own wife. Mother of four, Jalynne summed up the situation with three words. Third base umpire Ryan Blakney gave this ejection his all and Brandon Crawford wasn’t even paying attention to it!
To those who are not aware, 35-year-old Brandon Crawford got the boot from third base umpire Ryan Blakney, with whom he verbally volleyed over a check-swing call from earlier in the game. “This is laughable,” Jalynne wrote in response to a post from the Jomboy Media account, “Ump put his whole body into this ejection and Brandon Crawford wasn’t even looking.”

To those who’s re not aware, Wednesday’s ejection marked the third of Crawford’s career. The 35-year-oldand the Giants will host the Phillies to open a three-game series beginning Friday.
“I was surprised how quick it happened,” Crawford said as per Mercury News. “Basically, I wanted to talk to him about the check swing call. I obviously didn’t agree with it. I brought up a (strike) call from last night that he didn’t want to talk about and I still wanted to. … He said we’re not talking about it. I basically said why not, in so many words.”
The ejection was the third of his career for Brandon Crawford, who rarely raises his voice from its soft monotone. His earned his first in 2012, when he sarcastically stomped on first base after he was ruled earlier in the game to have missed the bag, and got his second in 2018 after leaving his bat in the dirt in reaction to a called strike three.
