The MLB offseason is in full swing. As teams start preparing for another huge year ahead of them, the Los Angeles Dodgers have once jumped in. They are now reported to have agreed to bring back 10-time All-Star Clayton Kershaw back to the team.
According to reports from MLB, the club has already agreed on a contract with the veteran pitcher. Kershaw will now undergo a physical on Thursday. Following this, the team will likely make the deal official.
This development regarding Kershaw comes two days after the team traded away reliever Caleb Ferguson to the New York Yankees. The 35-year-old pitcher is currently dealing with a shoulder injury and is expected to miss the first half of the season.
This offseason, the Dodgers have been the team to beat. They have spent huge amount and acquired some big names in Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Teoscar Hernandez.
The three-time Cy Young Award winner currently sits at 2,944 strikeouts. Kershaw will likely be aiming to enter the 3,000 club in this 17th season with the Dodgers and etch his name in MLB history.
