Derek Jeter’s ‘The Captain’ will be on air 18th July at 10 p.m., but a certain important personality in the documentary series would be his wife, Hannah Davis. Though they met in 2012 through mutual friends in New York City, Hannah has been his support after that. The surprises act that was recently revealed was Mrs. Derek Jeter did not have a clue who he was when they met.
“I thought he was a pitcher,” she wrote in a 2017 post on Derek’s blog The Players’ Tribune. “I know it sounds strange that I didn’t know he was a shortstop. I can just imagine all of the New Yorkers reading this right now thinking, ‘Oh, come aawwnn.’ They probably don’t believe me. You probably don’t believe me. But it’s true.”

According to a source Us Weekly, Derek had gotten down on one knee during their first anniversary on October 25, 2015. Derek is such a sports legend that he’s now the subject of ESPN’s docuseries The Captain, airing tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
