Jim Mclngvale, also known as ‘Mattress Mack‘, had the fun of his life this week. His dream came true as the Houston Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in the recent 2022 World Series in 6 games. He won the bet, and also the attention of the media as the 71-year-old pocketed $75 million after the game.

Earlier this week, he was handling $10 million from BetMGM in a private jet when he needed the help of a wheelbarrow to move the cash across the airport tarmac. Mack replied to the Las Vegas Review-Journal after he was asked about his condition, “Yes, but the wheelbarrow tire went flat”.

“I’d never seen that much money. But you only live once. So I decided to go take a swing at it and fly home with all that cash.” Obviously, it was a moment for Mack to relish. BetMGM on social media posted a video stating, “This money is HEAVY!”.

Later he posed for a picture with the humongous check of $30 million at Caesar. But all were not roses and petals for Mack. He stated that whoever ‘bets to hedge a promotion at his furniture store’, they will be refunded double their money if the Astros won against the Phillies in Game 6 of WS.

At the WS, the Astros won with a score of 4-2, defeating the Phillies as they snatched their 2nd World Series victory. The Astros parade was also not a quiet one, as people started brawling during the event. But all’s good that end’s good. At the end of the day, the Astros winning did put a smile n Mack’s face.
