The excitement is reaching new heights in Major League Baseball (MLB) as the season rolls on. Fans are starting to gather in huge numbers to cheer on their teams as they make a run for the knockout phases, hoping to become champions. Many times, fans have been spotted sneaking past the security running on the field, to chaotic scenes. A similar incident was recorded on Monday night at Coors Field.

The Colorado Rockies were hosting the best team this year so far, the Atlanta Braves. Where the Rockies have again struggled, the Braves have been flying high. During their recent matchup, two fans somehow made their way to the field and rushed toward Ronald Acuna Jr. The Braves man is having another great season and was thus perhaps on the mind of those two spectators.

As one fan hugged him, the security officials were quick to break up the shuffle. As they were dragging him away, a second fan came running in and tried to make contact with him. In doing so, Acuna Jr. would fall down. The Braves hitter was also spotted using some words. However, it was not clear what he said and whether he was angry or not at the unwanted interaction.

This year Ronald Acuna Jr. has established himself as one of the exciting players to look out for. While he has an awesome strength to make the ball leave the yard. he is also very quick with his feet. He has broken several records this season when it comes to stealing bases. He did so again on Monday night, as he became the first place since Dee-Strange Gordon to steal 60 bases in a season.

The ability to steal bases was given a massive boost due to the new shifts and larger bases rules. Still, the skill to catch the pitcher off guard and run away to another base is something else. It requires great concentration and a good understanding of the situation along with speed to steal a base. It took nearly six years for the next 60 stolen bases season to be recorded.

Acuna Jr. has over a month of action left to script more history. With 29 home runs under his belt this season, he is one big fly away from a 30-60 season. He can also become the first player to record a 40-60 season. If he is successful in doing so, the National League MVP will surely be in his grabs.
