In 2020 when the world was going through torrid COVID times, sports kept people entertained. Played behind closed doors with COVID restrictions, every league saw games reduced. The same went for MLB. The baseball league reduced the total number of games to 60. While many players were struggling to stay fit, Trevor Bauer had become unplayable.
The former Cleveland Guardians pitcher was having the time of his life. For his performances that year, he won the Cy Young award with the Reds. Next season he would join the Los Angeles Dodgers in a dream move. It soon turned into a nightmare as he found himself against sexual harassment charges. Since then he has gone through a lot and now once again faces another sexual assault allegation.
A fourth woman has now accused the former MLB pitcher. The legal case filed against him in Arizona on Tuesday, alleges he of “violently sexually assaulted” and “unwanted pregancy.” Bauer, who is now playing in the minor leagues in Japan, refuted these allegations. He claimed that woman is trying to harass him and extort money using this tactic.
The woman in her complaint detailed how Bauer forcefully removed her clothes and tried to choke her. She claimed that they had met various times before and Bauer threaten her to stay silent. She alleged that the pitcher instructed her to not keep any records including the pregnancy ones. Bauer’s agency quickly denied all these allegations and declared that the woman had made several million dollars demand before.
Trevor Bauer fires back at critics who slammed him for using sword celebration

Following these life-changing allegations made against him, Bauer was suspended by the MLB. He was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2022. Since then Bauer has made moves in the minor leagues in Japan. In March 2023, he signed a one-year deal with Yokohama Baystars. Even after this, he has continued to make headlines.
The 32-year-old ability has seen a slight decline. He though has amazed the Japanese crowds with his skills. Bauer recently found himself under the heat again for his iconic “sword celebration.” He has now fired back at his critics. He posted a clip of him doing the celebration on his Twitter and called out the American media.
Following his celebration, Bauer was slammed with harsh comments. According to him, the media back home labeled him as “racist” for doing that celebration. In his four starts for the minor league team, Bauer has managed to pick up 27 strikeouts. Whether he will ever be allowed back in MLB is a different topic. What further actions will be taken against him after this complaint are also uncertain.
