Andrew Tate is a controversial influencer and businessman. He is most famous for creating the ‘manosphere.’ However, casual people do not know he is a former kickboxing world champion. Tate fought over 80 professional bouts and won four world championships. However, the hardcore fanbase wondered why Tate did not pursue MMA or fight in the UFC.

In an old interview, Andrew Tate revealed why he did not pursue MMA or fight in the UFC. He said, “There’s a simple answer. The reason I did not go to the UFC is cause I broke my hand three times in MMA fights. I kept breaking my hand, and I needed bigger gloves, so I decided to stick with kickboxing. Sure, if I got to the top of UFC, I would have made more money.

UFC deals smaller gloves in fights to ensure grappling sequences. Boxing and kickboxing gloves are more oversized and cover the entire hands. They also avoid any potential injury to the hands. Tate wanted to prevent any damage at all costs to further his combat sports career. This became the reason why he never pursued MMA. However, he did fight thrice in MMA, with two wins and a loss.

Fans wanted to know why Tate did not pursue a career in MMA. Other kickboxers like Israel Adesanya, Alex Pereira, Stephen Thompson, and Donald Cerrone transitioned to MMA and fought for the world title in the UFC. Controversial kickboxer Andrew Tate returned to Twitter after Elon Musk bought the social media company. The previous ownership banned Tate due to his takes on masculinity which came off as offensive. Recently, Tate took to Twitter to tweet about the importance of opportunity in our life.

He wrote, “Every day, you are going to miss an opportunity. But some misses are worse than others. Now and again, you miss life-changing chances. You missed Bitcoin in 2013 and PPE in 2020. So what are you doing to make sure you won’t miss any more? Nothing? Hoping and waiting?

Tate recently got out of jail to remain under house arrest. He was taken into custody for alleged kidnapping and trafficking charges. Top G hopes to prove his innocence in a court of law to close the case filed against him.
