Cris Cyborg hits back at Khabib Nurmagomedov after his comments about women’s MMA

Cris Cyborg on Khabib Nurmagomedov
Cris Cyborg reacts to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s statement about female fighters! Khabib Nurmagomedov is one the best fighters to ever step inside the octagon, he retired with a perfect record of 29-0, and even though he is a great ambassador of the sport, he isn’t necessarily known for promoting the role of women’s in MMA.
Khabib is working on expanding his promotion to Eagle FC on US soil in January 2021. His promotion has been a real success in Russian, and now he is making some big moves with his company. He recently signed the former UFC’s lightweight title contender Kevin Lee and showed interest in signing former heavyweight champ Junior Dos Santos, and former interim lightweight champ Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier.
Khabib introduced a new 165 pounds division in his promotion, and one of the reporters asked him about the women’s division. Khabib started off by commenting on Julianna Pena’s victory against Amanda Nunes, he said, “I am like, we can watch what Julianna Pena did with Amanda Nunes. But Julianna Pena, she’s not like greatness or something like that. She just beat Amanda Nunes like.”
Cris Cyborg trolls Khabib Nurmagomedov will a post from the past

Khabib stated that there aren’t enough good female fighters in the world, and none of them are competing in the Eagle FC anytime soon, “We can watch and not many good fighters all around the world. There are only like five or six of them. And so we will wait and see,” Khabib concluded.
Former UFC champion and current Bellator champion, Cris Cyborg took notice of this comment, and she Tweeted a picture that is more than enough for a reply. It is from UFC 219, and Cyborg was headlining this event alongside another former champion, Holly Homes. Khabib was headlining the co-main event alongside Edson Barboza.
Not much was said by Cyborg, but the message is clear, and given the popularity and level of competition, we think it’s safe to say women are doing so much better in MMA, and they don’t need validation from anyone in the world.
