“It’s a shot at $1 million”- Jeremy Stephens believes parting way with the UFC to join PFL was a smart move for his career

Jeremy Stephens has found another place after moving away from the UFC. Stephens was on the UFC roster for the past 15 years, but recently after his contract expiration, he and the UFC mutually decided to separate. Now, the hardest-hitting 145er in the entire UFC will go on to compete for the million-dollar prize in PFL.

Stephens showed his disapproval of the UFC, as they kept on giving him the young upcoming fighters and not a favorable match. Stephens showed interest in fighting some vets like Cowboy. But the UFC was in no mood to do that and this became one of the reasons for LIL Heathens competing for less inside the octagon.

Stephens wanted activity and wanted more opportunities to compete, but since he was not able to do so in the UFC, he is going to PFL which has a tournament-style approach. Stephens will compete in the LW tournament in the PFL. We asked about this transition, he said he was very excited and he’d just knock everybody out and win the Million dollar prize.

Jeremy believes it’s the best thing that has happened to him for a while, and he’s in a great spot to provide for his family. “The best decision for me and my family is PFL,” Stephens told MMA Junkie. “We’re headed into new fights and exciting adventures and new opportunities. And when it’s all said and done, brick by brick, it’s a shot at $1 million. Who doesn’t want to take that? I’m a risk taker. Everyone knows I like to swing for the fences, and I made a career of that.”

Looking back at his decade-long career, he revealed his favorite memory, he said, “One of the biggest moments that I can remember that was all-around amazing was when I flying kneed Dennis Bermudez. I got to shake the boss man’s hand afterwards, the hopping over the fence flexing on Arnold Schwarzenegger, to taking pictures in the back, traveling.”
