“I’m gonna sign Dustin Poirier in Eagle FC,” Khabib Nurmagomedov presents an interesting proposition for “The Diamond” at 165 pounds

Khabib Nurmagomedov on Dustin Poirier
Dustin Poirier faced the lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira for the undisputed lightweight title at the main event of UFC 269. This was Dustin’s second shot at the undisputed title. His first title loss came against the former lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov who locked in the rear-naked choke to retain his belt.
Dustin once again lost the title bout in a similar fashion, after Charles caught the rear-naked choke in the third round to get the victory. Dustin worked really hard for this one, and he was coming off from back to back wins against Conor McGregor, most people expected him to win, but they were just as disappointed as “The Diamond.”
After the fight, Dustin talked about this loss, and people asked him what’s next for his future, he said he worked really hard for this one and everything was playing out exactly the way he planned. Oliveira’s durability really surprised him, and he was very careful about not giving Charles his back, but that’s exactly what happened and here we are. A reporter asked him is he looking to work his way to another title shot, Dustin told him, he is not thinking about that right now, and if he puts his mind into it, then he can definitely do that, but “Do I want to do it one more time,” is the real question.
He then tweeted, “Not sure whats next..” which indicated that he might take some time off from fighting.
“Khabib here always with Eagle FC,” Khabib Nurmagomedov is more than happy to sign Dustin Poirier for the Eagle FC

Dustin’s former opponent and owner of Eagle Fighting Champion talked about Poirier in his recent press conference. He wished Dustin good luck before the fight, and he was rallying behind him to win the title, now that Dustin’s future is not looking very bright. Khabib has offered him a contract with his organization.
Brett Okamoto from ESPN posted a Tweet, and on behalf of Khabib, it says, “Just call me, I’m gonna sign Dustin Poirier in Eagle FC at 165. If UFC release him, Khabib here always with Eagle FC…Let’s go, Dustin, just call me.”
