“What the flying f***?” Demetrious Johnson beyond shocked as former rival Rodtang faces defeat against Superlek after three-round war

The Superfight between Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmuu9 was one of the biggest events in Muay Thai history. The fight featured two of the best fighters putting on a performance worthy of legendary status. However, the outcome of the fight disappointed some people. This included ONE Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, who believed that Rodtang won.
Johnson was highly invested in the fight and was shocked at Superlek’s victory. His instant reaction to the outcome of the fight was, “What the flying f**k? I’m speechless, but I’m not a Muay Thai guy, I specialize in hand-to-hand combat.” Johnson said that he felt Rodtang was the aggressor and landed more vital shots.
He believed Rodtang’s elbow in the first round shook up Superlek majorly. Johnson said he was disappointed that Superlek did not make weight and came in five pounds over the weight limit. Johnson believed that a fighter needs to make cutting weight their priority. Johnson also reminded Superlek that he would have won Rodtang’s belt and a bonus if he made weight.
Rodtang is one of the most durable fighters in Muay Thai and is a master of his skill. However, Superlek is a master of kickboxing, and his kicks had the entire arena roaring. Fans look forward to seeing the two fighters rematch soon.
Demetrious Johnson talks about Rodtang’s ability to take hard punches
Johnson is undoubtedly one of the most craftiest and skillfully dominant fighters in the sport of MMA. He is very difficult to finish in every aspect of combat sports and is an expert in hand-to-hand combat. In the second round, he fought Rodtang in 2022 and defeated Iron Man via rear naked choke.
Rodtang is renowned for his ability to take a punch and be unfazed. Johnson recently spoke about how the first round against Rodtang was not a cakewalk. He had very little Muay Thai experience and had problems with knocking out Rodtang. Johnson said that he hit his opponent hard, which caused almost no damage, and Rodtang kept coming at him. However, this led to Johnson taking Rodtang to the ground and submitting him in the second round.
The fight was historic, as it was the first time that two of the greatest fighters in their respective sports had met. It was also a very entertaining fight, with both fighters putting on a great show for the fans.
