Eddie Alvarez came up short against Mike Perry at BKFC 56. However, the fight that lasted just two rounds was extremely violent. During the post-fight press conference, one of the media members said an interesting thing about Alvarez’s wife, Jamie Alvarez.

The media member sat next to Jaime Alvarez at the fight. Mrs. Alvarez was very vocal, and the media member was hilariously afraid. This is what Eddie Alvarez said about it in response:

The truth is, when I was nobody at 15 years old, she picked me up from a terrible place and believed in me. So, when she yells, let her yell, guys. She cares, and I have four kids, so let her yell.

Alvarez had a rough childhood, and his wife was the one who saved him from it. She was with Alvarez even before he became the “Underground King.” Moreover, they have four kids together. The 39-year-old former UFC champion has three sons and a daughter. Interestingly, his former foe and fellow former champion, Conor McGregor, recently announced the birth of his fourth child. McGregor now has three sons and a daughter like Alvarez.

Eddie Alvarez lost his BKFC bout against Mike Perry via retirement. He was unable to see through one eye, which made his corner call off the fight. Nevertheless, Alvarez credited Perry with victory due to his toughness. This is what he said about Perry:

The guy's a battle axe. He can take a shot, keep plodding forward, and give him... He reminds me of myself a lot. So, I was fighting a little mirror of myself in there tonight, and Mike was the better man.

Alvarez knew that he would be smaller than Perry. However, Alvarez thought he could knock out Perry if he connected cleanly. Perry proved too tough and did not go down even after a clean connection from Alvarez. Moreover, Alvarez saw a mirror of himself in Perry inside the ring. Furthermore, he gave praise to Perry for the victory.
